Additional Information

The PARITY Project operates under the support of Triangle Housing Association and focuses specifically on addressing the employment needs of individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism and is delivered by the Triangle Progression to Employment Service. The PARITY initiative is funded by the Gallaher Trust, which is an independent charity working to promote job creation and skills development and to provide support to disadvantaged adults in the wider Ballymena community. This project addresses both job creation and skills development criteria of the funder. Increasing activity levels in our enterprise service will secure contracts from the business community, allowing us to focus on our mission of employment skills development for adults with learning disability and/or autism. We will strengthen and increase interaction with local business, ring fence jobs for local people with disabilities and secure contracts with business. Project Impact: Our service aim is to bridge the gap between adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and employment. The enterprise facilities are part of a transition from day services or school where trainees gain the necessary soft employability skills of communication, self-esteem, motivation, confidence & teamwork. This aiding their progression on to our Supported Employment Service, which aims to secure paid employment within the local Ballymena community and surrounding area. This project will broaden the opportunities available to learn in our enterprise facilities by building relationships, securing contracts and developing supply chain roles. It will identify and secure job opportunities for our service users and educate the local business community. Referral by self, school, social worker or Job Officer - NRC
