Core Respite Services (Belfast)

CORE (Creating Opportunities Respite Everyone) Respite Services are social respite service providing social opportunities for people with learning disabilities. This gives the individual the opportunities to enjoy social activities tailored to meet their individual needs, whilst building friendships and relationships and in turn giving the family member/carer an opportunity to unwind and relax knowing their son or daughter is participating in something of their choice and enjoying themselves meeting new people and enjoying the company old friends. Our social opportunities service works closely with families throughout the Greater Belfast Area, and from places such as Dundonald, Lisburn, North, South East and West Belfast. We’re currently working closely with Social Services, Social Workers, South Eastern Trust etc creating the opportunity to enrich the lives of those who need this service the most. Direct Payments · With additional funding available (Direct Payments) CORE can assist YOU with the initial first step of applying for these additional funds. This additional funding is NOT means tested (this will not affect the benefits you currently receive) Give us a call to see how CRS can help you. Self-Directed Support: (SDS) · Self-Directed Support is a new and exciting option from the various Health Trusts which can give the person the option of buying in particular services which meets the individual’s personal requirement’s/needs. This is normally done through an assessment from a Social Worker. Give us a call to see how we can help. As above these additional funds will have no effect on other benefits that you may receive. CORE Respite Services provides two social opportunities options from which to choose from: (A) 1/2 day (4hours) package (B) A full day package consisting of 8 hours. We currently have 2 x 15 seater minibuses.
