Access Employment Ltd (AEL) is a social enterprise established in 1998. We support individuals aged 15+, who have additional needs, for example, learning disability/difficulty, asperger’s, autism and so on.
We offer live work experience, education and employment opportunities, enhancing people’s lifestyle and allowing them to engage more effectively in the community, whilst also enabling them to make informed choices about their futures.
AEL runs a number of sustainable businesses, in which we can provide individuals with the skills, experience and confidence to find employment within the open labour market. We work in partnership with local employers, via our inclusive employer charter, so can secure progression routes for our trainees. This also includes further education and long term volunteering.

AEL also provide a wide range of free vocational courses at Level & 1 & 2 – can I change this to - AEL also provide a mentoring service, whereby people can be supported on a one to one basis to address any barriers they may have, get help with CV’s, job application forms and interview skills. Alongside this we offer a wide range of free vocational courses at Level 1 and 2
Heroes +
A youth programme for those with additional needs, which explores topics such as Positive Progression, Good Relations, Citizenship and Self Confidence.
Our next cohort begins in April for those who are 16 – 19 years old. Participants must complete a minimum of 250hours engagement time over a 9month period.
