Skills for living-this involves mentoring on a 1 to 1 basis as well as support and guidance for whatever the needs are of the young person. Skills for living also entails what skills young people would like to develop personally e.g. interaction/confidence etc and identifying what personal goals they would like to achieve. Skills for work-involves group and individual work in relation to work placements/CV advice and interview skills, taster days and site visits to local employers. We also interlink with outside agencies e.g. Surestart/Nexus and colleges for info that might be relevant to the young people. Skills for learning- Involves identifying what course and qualifications they would like to achieve to help enhance opportunities for employment.

Our targeted age group is :- between 16-24 years old and unemployed and not in education or training.

The young people will also have opportunities to work with outside agencies e.g. Makaton, Paediatrics first aid etc. Youth Action will cover cost of childcare (providing young people source it themselves) and travel and food will be provided at every session. Young People can contact this service directly themselves
