NOW’s Family Service is a five year Big Lottery Funded project that supports new and expectant parents who have a learning disability, difficulty or an Autism Spectrum Condition. The service provides one to one and group based support to participants with a child under 5 years old who live in the Greater Belfast area and attend either the Royal Jubilee or Mater maternity units.
We support families where a parent has a learning difficulty or an Autistic Spectrum Condition. We work with expectant and new parents with children under five in the Belfast area to support them by building confidence, develop skills and make them more connected to their communities.
When they are ready we will provide opportunities for parents to move on to NOW’s training, volunteering and employment services and plan their future.
Please note: seperate funding may be required for support for families with social work involvement
