Shine Play Therapy Additional Information Shine Play Therapy provides many services to children, parents, individuals and professionals to support their mental health and enhance their emotional well-being. - PLAY THERAPY - a form of counselling/psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults who suffer emotional difficulties, social difficulties, display problematic behaviour, delayed play/language development, are underperforming, bereavement/loss, separated/divorced parents, communication problems, autistic spectrum, withdrawn, abuse trauma, nightmares, bullied/bullies, fostering/adoption, anxiety/stress/phobias, relationship problems, doesn't play, illness/disabled, low self-esteem, truancy, exclusion from school. Play Therapy can help improve concentration, problem solving and greater self-control, ability to express emotion in appropriate ways, communication skills and emotional literacy, ability to manage anxiety and feelings of sadness, social skills and relationships, self-esteem confidence and self-acceptance, coping mechanisms and resilience, ability to self soothe. In school it can help improve participation in group work, communication with other, listening skills, concentration, reduces exclusions, improves attendance rates, helps meets school objectives. It can also help improve relationships with parents and siblings at home as well as obedience and behaviour. In addition it can benefit the community and society by reducing crime rate and truancy and reduces mental health problems. - LEGO - BASED THERAPY Social development programme - for young people with autism spectrum disorders or related social communication difficulties.
