Rural Economic Accelerator Programme REAP - Fermanagh and Omagh

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council in partnership with Fermanagh Rural Community Initiative are delivering REAP (Rural Economic Accelerator Programme).

The programme is being funded from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered in conjunction with South West College.

REAP provides opportunities to support local people through training, mentoring and skills development, benefitting personal and job/career development. All of which are free of cost to the participant.

This is a programme that recognises the individual needs of each of the participants. REAP realises that at times in our lives there are obstacles that can stand in the way of us achieving the things we want. In taking a step-by-step approach and working with individuals at a pace and in a way that suits the person REAP supports people to achieve their ambitions.

Participants of the REAP Programme will avail of one-to-one mentoring support to identify their ambitions, with an individual Action Plan detailing the steps to be taken to achieve these. They have the opportunity to develop new skills, gain qualifications, complete industry specific training, build confidence and participate in health and well-being activity. An optional voluntary work placement provides valuable work-based skills and experience.

To be eligible for the REAP Programme the participant must be economically inactive, that is, those who are not in full-time/part time employment or are required to attend a Jobs and Benefits Office Job Coach to look for work.
