The Community Children’s Nursing Teams offer rapid response and intensive home support for those children who need it most.
There are three Community Children’s Nursing teams: one team (linked to Craigavon Area Hospital) supports families in Craigavon and Banbridge areas, one (linked to Daisy Hill Hospital) supports families in Newry and Mourne area and one on the St Lukes Hospital site supports families in the Armagh/Dungannon areas.
Community Children’s Nursing staff are dedicated to ensuring the provision of high quality care for children and families in their own homes or community setting. Teams are available from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Planned visits outside of these hours can be facilitated.
Accessing the service:-
Currently open referral from self, GP or other qualified healthcare staff from hospital or community settings.
Anyone can make a referral. The child’s parents/carers must consent to the referral being made.
Referrals can be made by telephone or email to the CCN team.
Referrals made after 3pm may not be actioned until the next working day.
