Additional Information
We provide regular short breaks for disabled children to give primary carers a break and time to spend with other children. Children using the service benefit from new opportunities and new relationships outside their immediate family circle. We offer :-
(a) Family-based short breaks both daytime and overnight
(b) befriending
(c) membership of small social/activity clubs
(d) Overnights with specialist fee paid carers who provide for those with the most complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Access to the service is gained via the childrens disability team subject to service criteria and an assessment of need.
