Additional Information

ASSIST NI are a Northern Ireland wide advocacy service passionate about supporting victims of domestic and sexual abuse crime who primarily are engaging with the criminal justice system.

We provide guidance and support, information, work with other service providers and advocate on victim’s behalf, tailoring our service to their needs.

We are a Northern Ireland-wide service with staff located in police stations across the region as well as the Rowan Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Together, our staff cover every policing district in Northern Ireland, working closely with the police so that victims of domestic and sexual abuse using our service are supported.

The ASSIST NI advocacy service is available to qualifying victims of domestic and sexual abuse. That is those whose details have been shared by the police after reporting a crime as well as those referred by The Rowan Sexual Assault Referral Centre or from a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference meeting.

Self-referrals are welcome, where you would qualify for the service i.e. you have reported a domestic or sexual abuse crime to the police and are engaging with the criminal justice system, are a victim of domestic or sexual abuse engaging with the Rowan Sexual Assault Referral Centre or have agreed to be referred following a MARAC meeting.

Your case will be allocated by one of the lead advocates.
