TESSA – Providing Therapeutic, Educational Support Services in Adoption
Families with children who are adopted can turn to Tessa for additional support.
Our five-year project aims to support adoptive families across Northern Ireland who have children between the ages of two and 12 years.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund as part of their Reaching out, Supporting Families initiative, the service is free. It is a joint project run by Family Routes and Adoption UK in Northern Ireland.
We at TESSA appreciate that reaching out for support as an adoptive parent can be particularly challenging. We provide a non-judgemental, confidential and supportive service for parents when they need us most.
TESSA offers a range of parenting courses, counselling and therapies for children who are often dealing with trauma caused by stressful experiences.
