If you or the person you care for have difficulty coping or feel that you have mental health needs (due to depression or anxiety) speak to your GP about this. You need to tell your doctor how you are feeling and how it affects your daily life.
Your doctor may refer you to the Mental Health Team for further assessment and support by Community Psychiatric Nurses or Social Workers. The Mental Health Team comprises of many professional workers who all work closely togther to meet the client's needs. Initially you may want to speak to your GP about accessing these services.
Access is via your GP, Accident and Emergency or the Liaison team.
