We provide advice, guidance and focused support to schools, families and other educational support services to help meet our Education Authority main aims:
"To give our children and young people the best start in life and to provide a high quality education for every child"
As an intercultural support service we have a number of related objectives to help us to meet that aim:
Our service delivery plan sets out how IES will deliver a full range of support activities aimed at helping to meet the service delivery objectives set out above.
IES can offer advice and support to schools and youth organisations who work with Newcomer, Roma, Traveller and Asylum Seekers / Refugees.
IES can offer family support to children, young people and their families who are Asylum Seekers / Refugees or identify as Roma or Traveller.
We work in partnerships to help break down the barriers that prevent better outcomes being achieved by children and young people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
“To inspire, support and challenge all our children and Young People to be the best that they can be.”
