As a parent/carer you may have concerns about your child or young person’s development or whether he/she may have ASD.
The first person you should approach is your Health Visitor, a professional involved in your child’s care or your GP
The ASD Service is a multi disciplinary service that has been developed to offer assessment, diagnosis, support and early intervention for children and young people who are presenting with characteristics commonly associated with the Autism Spectrum.
The Autism Team provides support to children with Autism and to their families. We are a multi-disciplinary team, which means members have a range of professional qualifications and experience in many areas including:
- Clinical Psychology
- Community Paediatrics
- Social Work
- Speech & Language Therapy
- Autism Practitioner
- Occupational Therapy
- Specialist Health Visitors
Central to the work of the team is the Autism Service Co-ordinator.
We are here to provide support and advice from the first stages of the assessment and diagnosis process and throughout your contact with us.
