About Me :

I am a mother of two children and have 23 years early years experience. Ducklings Daycare was established in 2017 in the Mount Eagles area and so far provides childcare for the Dunmurry and Colin areas.

My Experience :

Welcome to Ducklings Daycare - A  home based 'home from home' family atmosphere where children can reach their full potential.

My aim at Ducklings is to provide a safe and secure environment so parents have peace of mind knowing their children are safe while they work.

I am a big advocate of learning through play and reading.  Children are naturally curious and my role is to encourage this with a consistent approach to their needs.  My childminding environment reflects this.  I have two dedicated rooms and a large outside area for children to explore and develop.

One of the benefits of home based daycare is socialising in smaller numbers.  At Ducklings, children will learn valuable  positive social skills including sharing. compromising, emotional development and language skills in an intimate environment.

Children thrive on routine.  My setting provides a sense of security and stability.  Children gain an understanding of everyday events as routines make their environment more predictable.

We sing a lot !  As a fully qualified storyteller and rhyme and movement instructor, we do like to sing and dance.  Did you know movement to music helps develop parts of the brain that enable children to speak,  read, write and play... but most of all it's FUN !
