Bracken Beacon Day Support is a mental health resource based in East Belfast which promotes member involvement and personal development through a range of support and opportunities. Our aim is to provide a quality service to members offering opportunities to participate in various activities and groups; individual pathways to recovery; learning and development and social interaction within a friendly environment. We work with the local community and in partnership with various agencies including local colleges and community groups offer a wide range of services using a holistic approach. Life skills activities, active lifestyles groups, personal development, healthy eating and social networking offer a chance to promote good mental health and work towards positive well being. Activities :- Creative writing Art Walking Gardening Mens group Personal development groups Life skills Healthy eating Drama ICT Educational opportunities provide d as part of the Live and Learn project Bracken also provides specific services for over 65’s and for 18-30 year olds. Referral If you are aged between 18 and 65 and have a mental health need, then your doctor, or staff from the local Community Mental Health Team can refer you to a centre. If you wish you could come in and talk to one of our staff, all of whom are trained in the field of mental health. If you'd like more information about being referred to a Beacon Day Support centre please contact us and we will endeavour to help where possible.
