Southcity Resource and Development Centre was founded in 1993 to combat the social and economic problems of Blackstaff Ward which covers Donegall Road, Tates Avenue, the Village and Sandy Row.
The Centre operates a playgroup, lunch club, Access training, Open Learning Centre, facilities for the elderly, a local history project and Advice services from their premises on Donegall Road and Maldon Street.
We deliver a number of projects including a Pre-school facility for children aged 2 years and 10 months upwards. 9.00am-12.30pm.
We deliver an afterschools project from 2.00pm and 3.oopm until 5.00pm.
We deliver a specific debt advice project from 9.00am-5.00pm.
We also have a welfare rights advice project including ESA, PIPS, Housing benefit, pensions and all other benefits applicable in Northern Ireland.
We also host a Seniors project with health related issues, mobility, home visits, lunch club and a host of other activities for older people.
