The intensive adolescent support team is a statutory team, offering intensive social work involvement for young people aged 13 to 18. It covers family support from a prevention perspective as well as child protection and care. The team works through the assessment and review of a case, the formulation and implementation of a support package and the review of that package. The referrals to this team are initially assessed by the Gateway Team and passed on.
