Together 21 provides family-centred support for children with Down syndrome aged 0–10 years and their families across Northern Ireland. Our services begin postnatally (after birth) and focus on early intervention, early years development, and primary school support.
We aim to support children’s communication, learning, social skills, and independence, while providing parents and carers with emotional support, practical advice, and trusted information following a diagnosis. We help families access health services, speech and language therapy, education support, and special educational needs (SEN) services.
Together 21 delivers parent support groups, peer support networks, family events, and training workshops, creating opportunities for connection, shared experience, and community support. We also provide advocacy and signposting to ensure families can access the right local services, early years provision, and primary education support.
