Youth Start is a twenty-week programme delivered through four succinct delivery phases; focusing on personal development, during which time participants will take part in outdoor activities and mentoring to reduce personal barriers; training, involving four qualifications including Maths and ICT; employment academies, including industry specific training and site visits; and work placements, involving a four-week paid work placement in a field of their choosing.
Participants on Youth Start will receive a £20 training allowance each week, travel expenses covered, lunches provided and if needed childcare provided.
