Giggles and Wiggles Childcare (Strabane)

Giggles and Wiggles is a family run full day care setting based in the outskirts of Strabane. Since opening in 2005 we have established an outstanding reputation for the quality of childcare we provide. We take pride in the services we offer which are of the highest standard and we aim to always provide the children in our care with happy, stimulating and rewarding experiences.

We have a wonderful staff team including two SEN Assistants who are dedicated to ensuring that every child’s needs are met physically, emotionally and developmentally. Staff take a holistic approach to all play activities and strive as a team to provide home from home care. We have fantastic resources both indoors and outdoors which help us to provide endless learning opportunities. All our staff have recognised qualifications ranging from Level 3 to Degree level. Core training such as Safeguarding/Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Safety are completed by all staff on a regular basis. Staff have completed various other training to include: PECS, Makaton, Solihull Approach, Mini Me Yoga, Conflict Resolution and ACE's/Resilience. Our staff also have a wide range of life skills and experiences, which gives them a mature and well-rounded approach to childcare. We offer the evidence based Eager And Able To Learn Programme which aims to impact on two year old children's eagerness and ability to learn by supporting their physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development. The Media Initiative for Children (developed by Early Years - the organization for young children) is incorporated throughout the setting promoting positive attitudes to physical, social and cultural differences.

At Giggles and Wiggles we offer an open-door policy to Parent’s and Staff and also use an online system ‘My Nursery Pal’ to keep parents updated on their child’s day. This includes a journal of care, photos and messages. We understand that choosing the right childcare provider is very important, that is why we aim to provide a homely and inclusive environment where every child is nurtured and encouraged to develop to his or her full potential.  

Giggles and Wiggles Childcare operate from 8am-5:45pm Monday to Friday.
