The Young Parents Support Programme aims to provide young people with practical and emotional support during pregnancy through to the exciting stages following the birth.
Working alongside health professionals we will work with young parents on a one to one basis in a safe and secure environment providing additional support. This might include advice on parenting or how a young person might look after their emotional and mental health and general sense of well-being.
We will also support young parents if they are currently in, enquiring about or trying to access training or employment.
We will work alongside young parents to build confidence and self esteem and encourage personal development.
To avail of this service young people can be referred by their
GP, Midwife, Health Visitor, Social Worker, Youth Worker, Teacher or Self Referral.
We recognise the importance of the relationship between parents and their child and we aim to support this role by providing needs led interventions.
