We aim to remove individual barriers to training and employment by assisting young people to overcome extreme, social and educational disadvantage so they can make a difference in their lives, enabling them to become economically active and make a positive contribution to their communities. The Bytes project is a unique initiative that offers free, unlimited access to information technology in a non-pressurised environment, to young people aged from 16 – 25 who have left full time education and are not participating in further education, training or employment and are felt to be at risk in the community You will find us in Belfast Foyer. We are in a prominent position, close to the centre of Belfast and Queens University. The Bytes Project is ideally situated for access for young people aged between 14 - 26 in the South Belfast area. We also operate a regional service with off site deliver across a number of locations in Northern Ireland. We work in partnership with many groups including Simon Community and the Foyer Federation. We deliver a unique and effective service to our users in a warm, safe, friendly and informal setting. We offer a number of different projects and qualifications as well as supporting the young people in their personal and social development. We strive to meet the individual needs of our users. We aim to be inclusive and welcome young people from all sections of society.
