The Rainbow Project is a health organisation that works to improve the physical, mental & emotional health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people and their families in Northern Ireland.
We are the foremost LGBTQIA+ organisation in Northern Ireland and have two centres: one in Belfast city centre and the other in Foyle.
The Rainbow Project provides a range of services for LGBTQIA+ people and their families including; co-cultural counselling, LGBTQIA+ youth support and advice and support to parents/guardians/family members of young LGBTQIA+ people, Advocacy for victims and survivors of hate crimes and domestic violence as well as working with LGBTQIA+ who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
Sexual health advice/information, rapid HIV & Syphilises testing and free safer sex packs. The other services are social peer social support groups for LGBTQIA+ individuals and social peer social support groups for parents/guardians/family members of LGBTQIA+ people, listening ear sessions, care planning sessions, campaigns to give LGBTQIA+ information and awareness on a range of issues, trans and non-binary support, swimming sessions for trans and non-binary individuals and much more.
