Self-Service Portal for Childcare Providers - Available on Family Support NI

In recognition of the vital role Childcare Providers offer to parents and families, Family Support NI have created a facility whereby you can update your own profile on Family Support NI.

As the Central Government Register of Childcare Providers in Northern Ireland, Family Support NI (FSNI) is the first point of contact for many parents searching for childcare.  Parents can search for childcare providers close to their postcode, and filter results to find those with current vacancies, who provide services to meet their childcare needs. 

How to Access Self Service Account

• Find your profile on FSNI (Quick tip : Put the name of your business into the Keyword Search)
• Scroll to bottom of page – see ‘Login to update your details’
• At Self Service log in enter :

                email address (the email address you provided FSNI with for correspondence)

                CCP Reference number (See Red Font on your profile)

                Click the 'Forgot your password' link

• Check your email account for an email from Family Support NI
• Click the link in your email to activate your account and set up a password. (Remember this for future access) You should now be able to login.

Childcare Providers Can Update :-

• Has Vacancies? (This will signpost parents looking for childcare to your service)
• Number of Vacancies
• Telephone Number (Landline or mobile - will be displayed on the website)
• Mobile Number (Not displayed to public – for internal communications only)
• Website (if available)
• Facebook (if available)
• Twitter / X.com (if available)

You can also indicate services you offer to help parents find childcare to meet their needs :-

• Flexible Hours (evenings and/or weekends)
• School Pick-up / Drop off
• Experience of supporting children with disabilities / additional needs
• Accept Childcare Vouchers
• Can provide breakfast including school/nursery drop off for older children
• Registered for Tax-Free Childcare? (you can boost your business and help reduce cost for working families by activating your Tax-Free Childcare Account).

Details which cannot be amended/updated via Self Service

Details on your Registration Certificate such as Name, Address, Registered Numbers cannot be amended because any changes to the Public Register (on FSNI)  have to be verified by the Local Trust Early Years Teams - You should continue to contact your Local Early Years Team regarding these changes.

Email Address - You should contact info@familysupportni.gov.uk regarding any changes to your email address because we are required to  inform HMRC of changes (so they can correspond with you).
