Backyard Bears Out of School (Portadown)

We are based in the country with a large enclosed back garden where the children can play in a safe and secure environment where they can explore ,discover and make new friends .

Our setting is warm and friendly and we have a lot of resources and equipment for the children to play with both inside and outside.

There are always at least 3 staff on site, and they all have First Aid training.

We want the children to have loads of fun and be happy here ,we let the children choose for themselves what to do as activities.  We have a wide variety of toys ,junk art ,jigsaws ,Lego ,paints ,crafts etc to do and make ,large garden area where we play football ,rounders ,basketball etc ,we have a climbing frame ,trampoline ,wendy house sand area ,construction area ,ride ons. The children are the centre of our setting ,their safety and happiness is our priority .

Our staff have 15 years experience in childcare ,we have regular training.  All the staff have Safeguarding ,Child Protection ,First Aid ,Health and Safety ,Food Hygiene ,Level 3 in childcare , We have 2 Child Protection Officers.  One staff member has Level 5 in Childcare and 2 staff are training in Level 5 Childcare.    One staff member has Level 3 in Childcare a student doing Level 3 in Childcare.

We have disabled access/facilities.

Our staff have training in Autism ,Asthma, Allergies ,First Aid.

We do school pick-up/drop off to Birches Primary school,  St Johns Primary school,  Orchard Primary school  and St Marys Primary school.

We are open during school closures and holidays.

Opening Hours : 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. When school is closed we open from 7.30 am to 6pm Monday to Friday term breaks and holidays. We close Easter week ,July fortnight ,Christmas week.

We offer Early Years student placements.
