Active Inclusion is an employability project for 16-64 year olds situated within the 4Rs building in Pennyburn, funded by ESF.
The programme supports participants with mild to severe learning and physical disabilities to overcome barriers to employment. This is done though person centred planning to develop individuals’ employability skills and assisting them to gain accredited qualifications in subjects such as basic construction and painting skills, recycling and waste management, electrical, mental health, and healthy living.
Participants are supported by mentors throughout the programme to develop the individual’s personal and social skills.
Opportunities for work placements and work sampling coupled with supported job searches and CV writing via our job clinic, aid the development of their employability skills.
