The Moving On Project is an exciting new project for young people with disabilities. The aims of the project are :-
To increase opportunity to explore their abilities and potential.
Increase social inclusion and participation
Improve educational and employment opportunities
Increase confidence, self esteem and self worth
Increase independence and autonomy.
This project is aimed at young people aged 16 to 19 with physical or sensory disability or acquired brain injury who are disengaged or at risk of disengagement from education, employment or training opportunities.
The project offers one-to-one and group based opportunities for personal development, entrepreneurship, community participation and volunteering.
obtaining these skills will lead to improved educational and employment opportunities, a greater sense of life ownership and independence.
This support is offered for up to 2 years and does NOT affect attendance on training for successful programme or any government funded initiatives.
