Carole McKeeman, Western Trust Bereavement Coordinator works with healthcare staff to promote bereavement care, standards and training across the Western Trust.

The HSC bereavement booklet When Someone Dies: Information, guidance and support for family and friends (see attached at Useful Documents) contains practical information which may be useful to you in the days ahead. Information on living and coping with bereavement and a list of relevant support agencies is also included.
The Western Trust holds services of remembrance annually for the parents and families of children and babies who have died and also for the relatives and friends of those who have died within Critical Care in Altnagelvin Hospital. The dates for these services will be available on the Western Trust Website bereavement page.
A Book of Remembrance for babies and children who have died is available in both Altnagelvin Hospital and South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. Parents and family members who wish to make an entry in the book of remembrance in memory of their baby or child can do so by contacting the Trust Childbirth and Pregnancy Loss Midwife or contact the maternity wards in Altnagelvin Hospital or South West Acute Hospital.
