We support those from the adoption and Looked-After communities in Northern Ireland through services such as support groups, one to one support, counselling, a private tracing service and an intermediary service. We also provide a free tracing service (Regional Origins Tracing Service (ROTS)) to social workers working on behalf of adoptees, people who are Looked-After and birth mothers.
Adopt works with people from the adoption and Looked-After communities across the world that have a connection through family to Northern Ireland. We have clients in America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland and many other countries including Southern Ireland
Adopt NI provides support for adults facing the challenges of adoption (adult adoptees, adoptive & birth parents with adult adoptees).
Services also available to birth parents that are currently losing/have recently lost a child to adoption and, to adults separated from their family of origins through being looked-after.
Intermediary service to help individuals to establish contact safely.
Services: Group support, one to one support, counselling, therapy and tracing.
