At Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, we have been leading the fight against chest, heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland since 1946.
We care for people affected by chest, heart and stroke illnesses and their families and carers, offering a wide range of support services and programmes throughout Northern Ireland. Our services work to improve overall quality of life for people living with these conditions, with emotional support as well as physical rehabilitation support provided. Please visit our website or give us a call to find out how we can support you.
We prevent chest, heart and stroke illnesses by providing health checks to help detect the early signs of these conditions, and empowering individuals to make healthy choices. We offer a range of health promotion services for workplaces, schools and community settings to help encourage people to enjoy healthy and active lives and reduce their risk of developing chest, heart or stroke illnesses in their future.
We campaign for health policies and changes in legislation that will lead to improvements in the care and treatment of chest, heart and stroke illnesses, and in the health and wellbeing of the people Northern Ireland.
We fund ground-breaking research projects right here in Northern Ireland that will advance how we treat, care for and prevent chest, heart and stroke conditions.
Almost 90% of our care and prevention services, campaigning and research is funded exclusively by public donations, so without the generosity of local people, we couldn’t be here making a difference.
