Bolster Community (www.bolstercommunity.org) is a practical, hands-on charity and social enterprise that works alongside individuals, families, and communities to improve health and wellbeing. Through our charity services, we’ve had the privilege of helping countless children, parents, young people with mixed ability and seniors to reach their full potential. We support ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges from early years right through to later years. With an uncompromising, people-first approach, we go the extra mile to complement existing services. In our social enterprise, our products are lovingly handcrafted by young adults of mixed ability and all profits go back into supporting our vital work. Shop and support us to do more good: www.bolstercommunity.org/shop Family Support Services Family Support services provide practical and therapeutic support for parents and children, in the home, in the community and through evidence-based world class training programmes. As the coordinating organisation for the Newry and Mourne Family Support Hub, we help find solutions for families facing physical and mental health problems, family breakdown, parenting difficulties, financial problems and social and rural isolation. Our highly skilled family support workers undertake a wide range of direct work with parents and children, including developing resilience and coping strategies. Ability Services Our Ability services are dedicated to connecting children and young adults of mixed ability, helping them reach their full potential. We are especially proud of our Social Enterprise, an online gift shop that provides a safe place for our volunteers to feel connected, valued and purposeful.
