Family support hubs provide early intervention family support services to vulnerable families and children aged 0-18. A Family Support Hub is a multi-agency network of statutory, community and voluntary organizations that either provide early intervention services or work with families who need early intervention services. The network accepts referrals of families who need early intervention family support and uses their knowledge of local service providers and the Family Support NI website to signpost families with specific needs to appropriate services. Statutory, voluntary and community organizations are involved to work in the local area and provide early intervention Family Support services. The specific purpose of Hubs is as follows - a. To improve access to early intervention family Support services by matching the needs of referred families to family support providers b. To improve coordination of early intervention family support services by creating a collaborative network of community, voluntary and statutory providers c. To improve awareness of early intervention family support services d. To assess the level of unmet need for early intervention family support services and inform the Trust Outcomes Group Hubs believe in helping families to develop the skills to help themselves. The Hubs look at the needs of families and work to match families’ needs to the best possible service or services that can help. Hubs direct families to the services they need. This can be a service provided by a Hub member or a service provided by an organisation not directly involved with the Hub but associated with it.
