Sure Start - Glenbrook (Belfast)

Areas covered :- Ardoyne, Cliftonville and Ligoniel

A range of free services for families who are expecting and/or who have children under the age of 4 and live in the Ardoyne, Cliftonville or Ligoniel ward areas.

Services include :

• Antenatal support from our midwife - home visits, workshops, breastfeeding support
• Support from our health visitor - home visits, workshops, postnatal support
• Support from our Speech and Language Therapist - home visits, workshops, parent programme, parent and child  programmes
• Family development  team – 1-1 support in the home,  play support, stay and play groups, song and rhyme sessions, parent programmes, parent workshops, parent and child programmes 
• Early years team – developmental programme for 2-3 year olds, Little Learners (additional needs programme), creche for parent programmes

Parent programmes / workshops include :

• Cook It
• Nurture Parenting Programme
• Parenting Puzzle
• New Baby Workshop
• Feeding in the 1st Year
• Antenatal workshops
• Welcome to the world antenatal programme

Parent / child programmes include :

• baby massage
• baby yoga
• heads up lookers and communicators
• play and discover
  

Method of Access/Referral:

Service request form from anyone – self/health visitor/GP/Midwife/Community rep etc.
