Additional Information

PLEASE NOTE YOU CANNOT SELF REFER TO THIS SERVICE - YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOUR GP OR ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL AND ASK THEM TO MAKE A REFERRAL

We offer specialist Child and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to children / young people (up to age 18 years) and their families who live in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.

We recognise that growing up can be worrisome at times. Feeling sad, lonely, worried, angry, frightened or feeling that nobody understands you, are common feelings. We also know children, young people and families can become both mentally and physically unwell at times.

All CAMHS referrals are initially received and triaged by our Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Referral Coordinators. Their role is to ensure that each young person is seen by the correct service at the right time based on the their needs. The Referral Coordinators may contact you to discuss a case if more information is required.

They will direct your referral to the right team within CAMHS. They will also advise if an alternative agency would be more appropriate for the child / young person. In addition to arranging for a young person to be seen for assessment in CAMHS, the Referral Coordinators can also arrange for a Professional Consultation with CAMHS staff.

Our Referral Coordinators are based at Bocombra Lodge in Portadown and this is the single point of entry for referrals Trustwide.

To discuss a potential referral, please contact the Referral Coordinators on

Tel : 028 383 92112 (09:00-13:00 & 13:45-17:00).
