Additional Information

Newry Early Years Day-Care offer a range of services and programmes for children aged 2-12 years old who have or are awaiting a diagnosis of additional needs and/or disabilities. Our services and programmes including Nurture Cove (2-4 years old), Reaching Further After- School Club (4-12 years old), Christmas Short Breaks and Summer Schemes.

Our Nurture Cove operates five days a week in the morning term time. This service is for children aged 2-4 years old. Children are referred via a Health Professional (Health Visitor, Physio, Speech and Language Therapist) and spaces are decided by a multi- disciplinary panel. Children are then placed for a 12 week placement, one or two mornings a week.

Our Reaching Further Club operates five days a week in the afternoon term time. This service is for children of compulsory school age, aged 4-12 years old. Children are referred via a Health Professional (Disability Social Worker, Health Visitor, Physio, Speech and Language Therapist) and spaces are decided by a multi- disciplinary panel. Children are then placed for a 12 week placement, one or two afternoons a week.

Christmas Short Breaks operate over 3 Saturdays during November and December. For more details, please contact the Services Team Leader.

Summer Schemes operate over 5 weeks during the summer holidays. Referrals to this services are made via Social Services (Children’s Disability Team). For more details, please contact the Services Team Leader.
