The Pharos service provides therapeutic support to families and children where there is parental substance misuse.
Pharos offers parents, carers and children a wide range of tailored interventions that build on family strengths, develops children's resilience and supports parents through the recovery process. We are funded by the Eastern and Southern Drug and Alcohol Co-ordination Teams. We have three satellite projects within the Greater Region of Northern Ireland. Two are based within the Eastern Board area in Belfast and Bangor, and one is based Banbridge in the Southern Board area.
PHAROS accepts referrals from Drug and Alcohol Teams and/or Family and Child Care Teams via agreed pathways within the respective Board areas.
Referrals can also be made by Substance Use treatment services in both statutory and voluntary sector
Substance misuse can be detrimental to many aspects of family life. Our purpose is to help families address the difficulties they face and make positive changes to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
