The Link Family and Community Centre (Newtownards)

The Links Vision is of a healthy and vibrant community where people love God and passionately reflect his justice, mercy and humility through practical action. 

Our Mission is to stimulate, deliver, support and link community development action that values and develops the potential of all people, as an expression of Gods love an active Christian presence in the community. Detached work-To reduce and minimise harm to young people on the street. Medi-Link-Youth Health Advice Clinic (with youth health advice nurse) in drop in Tuesdays 3pm-5.15pm.

The Link has three rooms available for rent for group and/or individual work. These rooms have been used in the past for parent/child meetings, counselling, group work sessions. If you require more information please contact Yvonne McFeeters.

The Link Family and Community Centre is based in West Street in Newtownards beside the Queen’s Hall. It is our vision to see vibrant connected families and communities where individuals have opportunities to reach their full potential. Motivated by Christian faith, it is our mission to love, serve, connect and encourage individuals, families and communities.

We do this through;

• Youth programme – for young people aged 13-25.
• Specialises in working with ‘at risk’ young people, 
• Weekly youth health advice clinic on Tuesday afternoons includes health advice and non-invasive sexual health testing, 
• Addictions - programme supporting adults with addictions to drugs and alcohol which includes some family support 
• Ethnic Minorities - English class support to those who have English as a second language.

We also have a youth programme for primary school children whose parents have English as a second language.
