Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services helps people resolve their debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems and is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion. Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services is a registered charity core funded by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council. We receive other funding from projects such as Welfare Reform, Pension Wise, Money Advice Service and Mid & East Antrim Age Well Partnership, as well as donations from the public. Independent – We are an independent charity working in partnership with others to improve access to advice; Free – Our services are free; Confidential – The client’s visit and the nature of their enquiry are not divulged to anyone outside Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services; Impartial – Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services puts the client’s interest first and provides information, advice and assistance to enable people to make informed decisions. Our Aims To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively; To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally. Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services Trustee Board of Directors, led by our Chairperson, is responsible for ensuring that our services are delivered and meet the need of local people whilst meeting all contractual and legal obligations in line with charity law. Staff and volunteers provide practical advice, negotiate on behalf of clients and represent them formally, such as at tribunal hearings. Mid & East Antrim Community Advice Services have specialist Welfare Reform Advisers in each office. Call into our offices or phone the adviceline to contact us. Common areas of inquiry include: Benefits – entitlements, support with applications and appealing decisions Debt and money advice – how to manage debts, improve your financial situation and maximise your income Consumer issues – from used cars to difficulties with gas and electricity suppliers Work-related problems – terms and conditions, dismissal, redundancy and intimidation Housing – from renting through to homelessness Relationships – splitting up, children and bereavement You can contact our reception on 02896 001333 to make an appointment for assistance with form completion. 

Hi, our telephone advice line is open Mon-Fri from 10am-4pm. Closed for lunch from 1pm-2pm (Extended telephone opening hours from the 1st Nov - Tue & Thur 4pm-8pm). Our office opening hours are open Mon-Thur from 10am-4pm
