Lisburn YMCA is a faith based, voluntary community organization, affiliated to YMCA Ireland and a part of the National and International family of YMCA’s operating in over 120 different countries reaching a population of 58 million and is the largest and oldest non-uniformed youth organisation in the world.
Lisburn YMCA was established in 1988 to respond to an identified need to provide support for youth regarded as disadvantaged or disaffected. We believe in supporting young people to achieve their potential and their goals through creating opportunities to participate actively in their community and in decisions that impact on their community to create a positive change.
Since 1988 the scope and programmes offered by Lisburn YMCA has grown and shifted to meet the needs of the community we serve. Across three departments we now support young people across Lisburn and the Belfast and South Eastern HSCT areas.
