Forever Families is a community-based family support group representing adoptive families within the Southern Trust area. Our aim is to provide inclusive family support services that improve the wellbeing, confidence and resilience of adoptive parents, children and families through peer support, community engagement, training opportunities and family-focused activities.
We provide a range of programmes, support groups, family fun days, workshops and training sessions designed to support adoptive families and children who may have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties and emotional challenges. Our services promote positive mental health, emotional wellbeing, social inclusion and stronger family relationships.
Forever Families is guided by the lived experience of adoptive parents and works to create a safe, supportive and understanding community where families can connect, reduce isolation and access practical and emotional support. We also advocate for improved adoption support services and increased awareness of the needs of adoptive families across the community.
We also run a youth club for children aged 8+ which provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where young people can build friendships, develop confidence, improve social skills and take part in fun recreational and educational activities.
