As a consequence of the evolving situation with Covid-19, all Trusts will PAUSE Routine Inspections of registered childcare providers until 27th March. Please see details below :-

Dear Provider,

The Health and Social Care Board and the HSC Trusts are very aware of the pressures and uncertainty currently facing registered childcare providers in Northern Ireland due to the evolving situation with Covid-19.

Therefore all Trusts will now pause routine inspections of registered childcare providers until 27th March.

At that point the situation will be reviewed again.

During the inspection process, HSC Trust Early Years Inspectors work closely with staff in registered provision.  A pause in inspections will facilitate managers and staff working in childcare to focus entirely on the children, supporting staff and making business continuity plans.

The Trusts will still reserve the right to inspect where they believe the safety of children could be at risk, or they have other serious concerns.

Health and Social Care Board.
