MMR vaccine catch up clinics to run until end of March 2024

MMR Campaign

Measles is on the rise in Europe and other parts of the UK. It is highly infectious and can easily spread between unvaccinated people. Two doses of the MMR vaccine provide the best protection against measles, mumps and rubella

First and second doses of the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine will be offered to everyone aged between 12 months and 25 years who missed getting the vaccine first time around.

If you are unsure if your child is due a vaccination or has missed a vaccination, check their red book or contact your GP practice/health visitor.

Be alert to the symptoms of measles. If you think you or your child have measles, call your GP surgery before turning up at a healthcare setting. This will help to stop the virus spreading.

The MMR catch-up programme will run until 31 March 2024.
