The Childcare Partnerships/Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) in collaboration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC), have developed a FREE Web-based Interactive Digital Learning Course COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control Training for Childcare Settings.

This course has been designed specifically to help managers of early years' childcare settings and childminders ensure that they and their staff are trained in infection control in line with the Department of Health’s requirements.

This course is for all staff working as childcare providers registered with local Health and Social Care Trusts including:

• Daycare Nurseries

• Preschool and School Aged Childcare Settings

• Childminding Services

• Crèches and Developmental Programmes for 2-3 Year Olds

Please ensure you and your staff are familiar with this training resource to help prevent and control; the spread of Covid 19

Due to ongoing developments in relation to COVID-19, it has become necessary to temporarily postpone all face to face training sessions. Face to face training options are being kept under review and will be reinstated at some point in the future dependent on easing of lockdown restrictions.

To support childcare providers in re-opening, the Childcare Partnerships have developed a sample COVID-19 Risk Assessment Template and some prompts to help address the risks associated with and related to coronavirus.
