Main Services Provided

Carrickfergus YMCA (CYMCA) currently deliver a range of programmes, services and activities to approximately 190 young people aged 8-25 and 150 vulnerable families each week through :

Youth Drop in - Open 5 evenings and afternoons each week for young people between ages 11-25. Programmes specifically target issues such as youth health, educations and personal development programmes as well as Drop in activities providing safe leisure space, art and drama.

Bridge Project and Changing Tracks - Detached youth work projects targetting hard to reach youths across the Borough who are on the verge of or involved in anti-social behaviour.

Friends Forever Programme - An internationally focussed project which supports Catholic and Protestant young people through a 1 year young leaders personal development course with a community relations focus.

Glenfield & Caltlemara/Woodurn & Sunnylands Parents and Kids Together Project (PAKT). Between them the projects runa a creche, 2 after school clubs and a teenager club to allow parents to take part in life skills, health programmes and educational courses.
