Main Services Provided

The following services are accessed through the above Learning Disability Teams.

They provide a range of services to persons with a learning disability from the age of 18 years onwards. These services include social work, nursing, psychology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and nutrition and dietetics. The Learning Disability Service also provides a range of day services which includes Adult Centres.

They also provide a Day Opportunities Programme which offers a person centred day opportunities plan which provides opportunities in areas such as education, employment, leisure, volunteering and also community involvement through a range of drop-in centres across the Trust.

The Learning Disability Service also offer a range of supported living schemes run by the Trust and purchased through independent sector providers by the Trust. It also provides a range of respite services some bed based and some provided by family based host carers. They also have a Trust-wide Challenging Behaviour Service and access to five challenging behaviour respite/emergency beds.
